What do I need to bring with me when I pick the vehicle up?
We need to see both parts of your driving license, along with two utility bills in your name that are less than 4 months old.
If you have an older style paper license, we will also need to see your passport as photographic ID.
You will need to bring the credit or debit card you used to confirm your booking. A "swipe" will be taken to cover any uninsured damage / insurance excess (£750 for horsebox, £100 for trailer) at the point of hire. Provided the vehicle is returned undamaged and in accordance with our terms and conditions, this payment will not be processed.
If you are hiring a trailer, you will need to provide evidence that you have arranged the necessary insurance.
Is it my responsibility to insure my horses for travelling?
Yes, it is the hirer’s responsibility to make sure their horses are insured, and also to carry horse passports in accordance with DEFRA regulations.
Can the horsebox be driven by more than one person?
We allow up to 2 named drivers, included in the hire rate. Additional drivers may be added at a charge of £15.
Can I take the horsebox abroad?
Use of our horseboxes is currently restricted to the UK only.
What about fuel?
For your convenience, horseboxes will be supplied with a full tank of diesel. You must ensure that the tank is equally full when the vehicle is returned.
Do I need to clean the horsebox before I return it?
Please return the box in the same, clean state, as it was when you hired it. If you are short of time or would prefer for us to clean the vehicle, a cleaning fee will be charged to your debit/credit card.
